Emergency Procedures
The Englehart & Area Community Arena Complex is equipped with both fire and ammonia alarms. The alarms sound different, but the procedures are the same.
Upon Hearing An Alarm
- Remain calm.
- Leave the building by the nearest exit.
- Close the doors behind you.
- If you encounter smoke, use an alternative exit.
- Do not use the elevator.
- Call 911
Upon Discover of a Fire
- Remain calm.
- Leave the fire area immediately.
- Close the doors behind you.
- Sound the fire alarm.
- Leave the building by the nearest exit.
- If you encounter smoke, use an alternative exit.
- Do not use the elevator.
- Call 911.
Medical Emergencies
- Call 911.
- A defibrillator is available on the wall in the lobby by changeroom #1 and outside the kitchen in the community hall. Once activated, there is verbal instructions about how to use properly.
- For minor injuries, First Aid kits are available throughout the complex. Closest to the ice surface is located on the wall by changeroom #1.
- Ice packs are available from the Arena Attendant (located in the canteen freezer)
Power Outage
- The Complex is equipped with a back up generator. In the event of an outage longer than 10 seconds, the generator will initiate.
