Appear before Council

What is a Delegation?

A delegation allows individuals or groups the opportunity to appear in person at a meeting to present concerns or information for Committees or Council's consideration.

How can I appear as a Delegation before a Committee or Council?

If you would like to speak at a public Council Meeting, you must register as a delegation prior to the meeting.

More information about delegations and procedural matters can be found in the Procedural By-Law. Each delegation must not exceed 10 minutes.

For information about speaking to Council, or to register as a delegation, please contact the Municipal Clerk before 4:00 p.m. on the Wednesday prior to the meeting.

To register as a Delegation, fill out the Delegation Form and provide it to the Clerk in person or click here for email. The Delegation form needs to include the grounds for the presentation and must be submitted to the Clerk before 4:00 pm the Wednesday prior to the meeting.
